Basketball

Basketball competitions are played at the Stadium each week and are run by the local Basketball Association.

The senior competition is played Wednesdays from 4.30pm, whilst juniors are on Fridays from 4.15pm. These competitions run with the school term.

The Port Macquarie Basketball Association also hosts Northern Junior league competitions on behalf of NSW Basketball and host their own event the ‘Seaside Classic’ held each November.

aussie hoops

Aussie Hoops is an initiative of Basketball Australia and the Australian Sports Commission to establish a National Basketball Program for Primary School aged children.

The program is fun based and affordable to all. Aussie Hoops provides opportunities to learn and play with your friends and to develop important social skills in a convenient, safe and friendly environment.

Registration is $30 (includes Insurance and a basketball) and $4.00 per week. Come and try for free to see if you like it on any Tuesday starting at 3.45pm – 4.30pm
